Jeff Flancer Favorite color: Seafoam green Thanks for your interest in our Cafe. My name is Jeff Flancer, the owner of Flancer's. I have had the pleasure of owning Flancer's since April of 2000. I am a 1984 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. In the 80's I was a Chef working from restaurants at the Inner Harbor of Baltimore to the finest French restaurants in Los Angeles. In 1990 my wife Tuni and I moved to Santa Fe, N.M., a spiritual hub with authentic southwest culture and cuisine. I owned my restaurant there, for 9 years before happily moving to Phoenix in 2000. I am also proud to serve my time on the AZ Restaurant Assocation as a board member. I enjoy power boating and sailing, golf occasionally and collecting record albums and some 60's memorabilia. I am so thankful for our 2 beautiful boy's, Gaffney and Max, they rock! I am also thankful for all the success we have had over these past years, and I would like to thank my excellent and worthy staff for the huge part they play, everyday, in making us what we are known for: Friendly, professional service with incredible food in an atmosphere that is like your favorite place when you were growing up! Tuni Flancer Favorite color: Green Hi!  My name is Tuni Flancer.  Wife of Jeff, mom of Max and Gaff,  Flancer's bookkeeper, co-advertising person, and one who acknowledges our awesome staff!!  I graduated from A.S.U. (go Sun Devils!!) with a degree in Advertising.  I volunteer at Max's and Gaff's school when I am not doing Cafe stuff, and feel that it's important to give back to our community.  I hope that Flancer's offers you and your family a tasty, fun and friendly dining experience.

James Tucker Favorite color: Blue General Manager in Gilbert - Start Date: May 12, 2005 All my working life I have been in the hospitality industry. I have worked and learned from some of the biggest names in Arizona and around the country. I have a decade plus in management and culinary experience. My Passions include great food, good wine at an affordable price and really good beer. Other areas of interest are music and art. I love to play the guitar and I just love anything outdoors! We at Flancer's bring to you high levels of service and personality in every visit you make with us. I definitely am a "Flancer's Addict". I love seeing our regular guest's faces. Jacinta Santillan Favorite color: Blue Sous Chef in Gilbert - Start Date: Jan. 3, 2001 I like to spend time with my kids and help them with their homework. I like to clean my house and go shopping too. I love working at Flancer's because my opinions and ideas are noticed and used. They make me feel important. Myke Jones Favorite color: Blue or Black  Asst. GM, Server in Gilbert- Start Date: Nov. 18, 2002   I'm Myke and I work as an Assistant GM and Server looking to provide you with a fun and memorable dining service. This November will be my seventh full year and I will have worked nearly 2,500 shifts in which I am very proud of. I am a big sports and trivia fan and have a dream one day of being on Jeopardy! Alison Brooks Favorite Color - Orange Host, Asst. Mgr., Marketing in Gilbert- Start date Nov. 23, 2007 A Flancer's addict for years, I started working here in November of 2007. I am a graduate of Arizona State University, and have been in the hospitality industry for most of my working life. I am married to my wonderful husband Bill, and have two beautiful little boys, Justin and Tyler. My favorite part of working at Flancer's is seeing people with happy faces and full bellies. I work at the front counter, am an assistant manager, and help out with the marketing at the cafe.

I graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute with honors and did my externship here at Flancer's. I've learned a lot from my mentors here and I continue to learn from them everyday. My main goal is to turn fresh ingredients into a dish you will love! When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and dog. I hope to see you soon.

Tanner Wist Favorite Color: Orange Server/Asst. Mgr. in Gilbert- Start date March 13, 2008 I'm Tanner and I work as server. Going on my second year I have really enjoyed my time and am amazed at the great people who come in AND have been Flancers regulars for many years. I really meet a lot of neat people and I love getting to know them.  Away from work, I am a HUGE movie fan and love to read. My favorite movie of all time is "Stripes" with Bill Murray. I also love doing movie lines and if you come in, I'll do my Christopher Walken impression for you. Music is al a passion for me and I enjoy bluegrass, especially Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys and I like the rhythms of good reggae music. I love cooking too and take pride in my soups and sauces. I also make a dish I call "Tanner's famous shredded potatoes". And finally when I'm not doing any of the things I mentioned, I love to travel and am looking forward to traveling in my own RV soon. Please ask for me when you come in as I bring over 15 years of restaurant experience to your table and I will be glad to serve you a delicious meal like Flancers knows how!!

Nick Albures Favorite color: Blue Line Cook in Gilbert - Start date March 5, 2008 I'm Nick and I work in the kitchen as line cook who keeps moving up the ladder. I enjoy the atmosphere I work in and am committed to learning more about being a strong team member. Maybe one day you'll come and I'll have worked my way to the chef position!!  When I'm away from work, I love music, especially punk rock (The Dead Kennedys are my favorite!) and can play several instruments. A few of us at the cafe have formed a band in which we get to jam together occasionally and have played at our Christmas party. I also like to ride my motorcycle and going camping.  I look to forward to cooking you up a nice meal soon.

Derek Esparza Favorite color: Blue Line Cook in Gilbert - Start date March 15, 2008 I'm Derek and I am one of the guys who grills up the delicious food we serve. I work as a line cook but can mostly be found manning the grill. I have several years in the restaurant industry and I enjoy the atmosphere we have at Flancers. When I have my own time, I enjoy staying in shape and watching the Oakland Raiders during the football season. A good night for me is started with some nice single malt scotch and ending with a nice glass of cabernet! Come in and see us and say "hi" to me when you do!

Laura Hanscom  Favorite color: Red Server/Asst. Mgr. in Mesa- Start Date: April 17, 2008 Hi, I'm Laura. I've been working at Flancer's Mesa since April 2008.  I really like coming to work every day and meeting new people, and seeing my regulars.  On my days off, I like to travel.  I love going to the Glamis Sand Dunes to ride quads and to camp.  I have 2 dogs, Bentley and Cooper who mean the world to me. Colton Sinsabaugh Favorite color: Black Cook in Mesa - Start date June 27, 2008  I'm a Mesa native and I am a big football fan.  Being an Arizona native I am all about my home sports teams such as the Cardinals, Suns, D-Backs and Sun devils.  I'm going into my second season as an O-Line coach for Shepherd Jr. High School's freshmen football team in Mesa.  When I am not working I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing flag football, basketball, and watching movies and sports.  I've been working here at Flancer's since June 2008, and am learning a lot from the cooks and I enjoy working and learning from them each and every day.

I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years and am very proud to be part of the Flancer's team. I of course enjoy cooking, which is a deep passion of mine. Jon Mollohan Favorite color: Green Prep/Dish Gilbert - Start Date: August 23, 2008  I'm Jon and work in the back of the house doing various duties including prep work, helping on the hot line and "manning" the dishwasher. I also delivery caterings so whatever they ask me to do, I'm there. My favorite thing about working at Flancers is the great food we have, and I love to eat too!! In my spare time I love traveling, camping, hiking and all the good sightseeing our beautiful state has to offer. I also love taking pictures where ever I go. I like classic rock and roll and Frank Zappa is my favorite. I have a great passion for cooking and have been doing so for the last 13 years. I do my best to make fresh and tasty food. It brings me pleasure to satisfy appetites of young and old. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife(who is beautiful) and my children. I love music, my favorite types are country, metal, rap, and Mexican. The food at Flancer's is amazing. I enjoy the outdoors on my free time. I like to fish, hike, and camp with my wife, daughter and three sons. One of our favorite spots is Payson. My favorite food at Flancer's is our pizza.
